Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the relationship between Law-China Business Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
("the Firm", "we", "us") and our clients ("Client", "you"). By
accessing our website or engaging our consultancy services, you agree to
be bound by these Terms.
tl;dr - Human Readable Info
We believe that professional partnerships are built on clarity, not fine print. Here is a plain-English summary of how we work:
What we do: We provide strategic advice across finance, law, IT, and marketing. While we bring 20+ years of experience to the table, our formal responsibility begins once a specific Service Agreement is signed.
No "Hidden" Costs: We despise opaque billable hours. We aim for fixed quotes and transparent pricing so you know exactly what your investment is upfront.
The "Tiger" Factor: The Chinese market moves fast. We promise the highest level of diligence, but we cannot be held responsible for sudden, unpredictable shifts in government regulations or search engine algorithms.
Your Data is Vetted: As experts with legal and engineering backgrounds, we treat your sensitive information with extreme discretion and store it securely in Hong Kong.
Our Brains, Your Tools: We keep the rights to our unique methodologies and "Know-How," but once you’ve paid, the specific reports and strategies we build for you are yours to use forever.
Disputes: If we ever have a disagreement, we’ll try to settle it as friends first. If that fails, we’ll let the Beijing Arbitration Commission help us find a fair solution.

- Advisory Nature: Our services are strategic and advisory. While we provide legal and financial insights based on our 20+ years of experience, these do not constitute a formal fiduciary relationship unless explicitly stated in a separate, signed Service Agreement.
- Bespoke Delivery: All projects are tailored to the specific needs of SMEs navigating the Chinese or European markets.
2. Fees and Transparency
In line with our Core Values, we reject the practice of opaque billable hours.
- Fixed Quotes: Whenever possible, we provide clear, upfront cost projections before commencing work.
- Payment Terms: Invoices are typically issued in EUR, USD, or CNY, depending on the engagement, and are due within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.
3. Intellectual Property
- Ownership: All methodologies, frameworks, and strategic "Know-How" developed by our partners remain the intellectual property of the Firm.
- Client Deliverables: Upon full payment, the Client is granted a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use the specific reports and strategies produced for their internal business operations.
4. Liability and "Riding the Tiger"
- Market Dynamics: The Chinese market is highly dynamic. While we exercise the highest professional diligence, we cannot be held liable for sudden shifts in local government regulations or search engine algorithms that are beyond our control.
- Limitation: Our total liability for any claim arising out of our services is limited to the total fees paid by the Client for the specific project in question.
5. Confidentiality
We treat all client data with the utmost discretion. As highlighted in our Privacy Policy, your sensitive operational data is handled only by qualified professionals with legal or engineering backgrounds and is stored securely in Hong Kong.
6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- Primary Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be settled through friendly consultation. Should consultation fail, disputes shall be submitted to the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC) for arbitration in accordance with its rules.
